"We agreed three weeks of onboarding."
These two memories disagree
Onboarding length: 2 weeks vs 3 weeks
Northwind SOW v22 weeks
#northwind-kickoff3 weeks
Agent answers about Northwind will follow whatever Priya decides.

Onboarding is three weeks, as agreed at kickoff.1
Three weeks. The SOW says two, and Priya notes the kickoff added a week.1,2
Same fact, different values, caught before an agent repeats either.
A disagreement is two memories in one workspace that state the same fact differently. People write some of them, AI tools write others, and MeshTale checks both the same way.

byA newer version is not a conflict
When SOW v3 replaces SOW v2 in the same folder, the newer version of the same document replaces the older one automatically. Nobody is asked, and older answers stop coming back.
Different clients are not a conflict
Northwind's onboarding can be two weeks while Kestrel's is six. Each workspace is checked on its own, so separate clients never trigger an alert.
Three ways to settle it,one click each.
The person who gets the alert sees both memories side by side, with who wrote each and where it came from. Then they pick.
Keep one
The chosen memory is marked accurate. The other is marked outdated and stays on record, but stops coming back in answers.
Keep the other
Sometimes the newer chat is right and the signed document is behind. The same choice works in either direction.
Keep both, with a note
When both are true in context, keep both and add a sentence that explains the difference. Agents get the note with the answer.
After the decision,answers follow it.
The outdated memory stops coming back to agents and people. If someone asks again, the answer cites only the version that was confirmed, and says which one was set aside.
The decision itself is logged: who settled it, which memories, what they chose and when. You can look it up in the audit log next to every recall.
- Outdated memories stay on record, never in answers
- Every decision is in the audit log
- Change your mind later and answers change with you

Questions
Two memories in the same workspace that give different values for the same fact, such as an onboarding length, a pricing floor or a deadline. It does not matter whether a person or an AI tool wrote them.
The workspace admins and the person who owns the collection the memories live in. The conflict waits in their review queue until one of them settles it.
Answers that rely on either memory are marked as disputed, so an agent or person knows the fact has not been settled yet. Once someone decides, answers cite only the confirmed version.
No. It is marked outdated and kept on record, so you can see what was set aside and change the decision later. It simply stops coming back in answers.
A newer version of the same document replaces the older one automatically, with no alert. Alerts are for two different sources that disagree.
