What a cookie is
A small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a site to work at all; others exist to measure behavior or serve advertising.
What this website uses
Strictly necessary
Cookies required for the site to function — remembering your cookie choice, and keeping you signed in if you move into the application. These cannot be turned off without breaking things, and they are not used to build a profile of you.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and where they give up. For visitors shown the consent banner, analytics loads only after acceptance; elsewhere it loads immediately, subject to Google’s IP-based regional consent defaults. We use this to fix the site, not to identify you. If you decline in the banner region, no analytics script loads and no analytics data is collected.
Advertising
No advertising tags currently run on this website. Accepting the banner does not enable advertising storage, advertising user data, or advertising personalization.
These cookies are never used on anything you put into the product. Content you upload or connect is never used for advertising, by us or by anyone else — that promise is in our privacy policy and it is not changing.
Where you are changes what we do
The banner appears for visitors whose browser timezone is in our explicit UK, European Economic Area, or Switzerland list and who have no stored choice. For these visitors,nothing beyond the essentials loads until acceptance. Google also applies denied consent defaults by IP in these countries, including when a timezone misses the banner.
Visitors outside the banner timezone list load analytics immediately, with analytics storage granted outside Google’s IP-based restricted region. A returning visitor who accepted loads analytics immediately; a stored rejection in the banner region loads nothing.

Your consent choice is stored in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, so declining does not itself set a tracking cookie. Google Analytics 4 is enabled under the regional rules above; no advertising tags are enabled.
Changing your mind
To reset your choice, clear this site’s local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Visitors in the banner timezone list will be asked again on their next visit.
Third parties
We display product logos supplied by a third-party logo service. Logos are requested by domain name only — no information about you is sent, and that service sets no cookies on this site. Our subprocessors page lists everyone involved in running MeshTale.
The application is separate
The signed-in application at app.meshtale.com uses its own session cookies, described in the privacy policy. Those are strictly necessary — without them you cannot stay signed in.
